Join us to Give Hope for the Holidays: shop fair trade and benefit children in Liberia on November 10th from 6pm-8pm at the Evanston Ten Thousand Villages store. Give Hope for the Holidays and shop for fair trade gifts for you, your family and your friends that will support a Christian education, life skills and a loving home for the children at Liberia Mission and the dignity and fair wages for artisans

There will be refreshments, raffle items, live entertainment, videos and stories of the youth in Liberia. Memoirs of a Reluctant Servant: Two Years of Triumph and Sorrow in Liberia, West Africa written by Jerome Cabeen; former LMI Director and current MHI board member  will be on sale, all proceeds from the book sale and raffle will go directly to Liberia Mission.

Mission Honduras International (MHI) is a Catholic missionary organization dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty for children and families through material and spiritual support and a Catholic education.  MHI/Liberia Mission Inc. is partnering with Ten Thousand Villages to Give Hope for the Holidays: shop fair trade and benefit children in Liberia. Ten Thousand Villages provides vital, fair income to Third World artisans by marketing their handicrafts and telling their stories in North America. Not only will your support impact the lives on the artisans but also 15% of the proceeds will go directly to Liberia Mission Inc. aiding for a more just, hopeful and sustainable society in the nation of Liberia. Liberia Mission, Inc. is a project of MHI. Located in West Africa, Liberia Mission is a community of love, learning, work and prayer. Here, poor and orphaned children - survivors of Liberia’s long and brutal civil war - are learning to become future leaders in their families, communities, and country.
